Preparing for Accessibility and Accommodation Software
For the OSSLT, schools will be configuring devices to use the lockdown access (SEB or Kiosk). If schools require one or more of the additional technologies to accommodate certain students, a list of the technologies needed should to be provided to eqao-support@vretta.com.
If there is any other accessibility or accommodation software that is required by one of your schools but is not in the list above, e-mail eqao-support@vretta.com.
If accessibility or accommodation software is not compatible with the lockdown browsers (SEB or Kiosk), then schools will be required to use the Alternative Access for these students through the EQAO website. The Alternative Access will allow the software to run normally, and will retain key security measures that notify the teacher if the student attempts to navigate away from the assessment window.
Note: This access will be available only to students who have an accommodation with assistive technology on their Individual Education Plan (IEP) and for whom the school administrator has checked this off in the e-assessment platform in the “Accomodations and Alternative Version” section.
Note: Certain accommodations are allowed without an Individual Education Plan.
